Our Winter Solstice Open Day welcomed newly engaged couples for an intimate and thoughtfully curated afternoon, offering a glimpse into what a wedding at Wynmère feels like.
Guests strolled through the gardens and beautifully styled spaces, met a handpicked collection of our favourite wedding creatives, and experienced the warmth and atmosphere that make winter celebrations on Tamborine Mountain so memorable.

The design concept, thoughtfully curated by For Love & Living, embraced a sense of romance and whimsy, celebrating the quiet beauty of winter through soft textures and timeless elegance. A delicate palette of dusty rose, pale blue and ivory set the tone, bringing warmth and refinement to the estate's gardens.
Flowing chiffon linens were artfully draped from the upper-storey window, cascading gracefully down the pebbled staircase to create a striking yet ethereal ceremony backdrop. The movement of the fabric in the mountain breeze added a sense of softness and drama, beautifully complementing the Georgian architecture of the estate.
Seasonal floral installations by the talented teams at Elysium Blooms and Fontana Florals completed the vision. Abundant garden roses, complemented by carefully selected winter blooms and textured foliage, framed the ceremony space with effortless elegance. Every arrangement was thoughtfully designed to feel organic and romantic, enhancing the natural beauty of Wynmère while creating an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and inviting.

Beautifully captured by Salt Media, one of Australia's leading editorial photography and cinematography studios, these carefully curated images tell the story of the day with artistry and intention. Rather than simply documenting the event, they celebrate the fleeting moments that make winter at Wynmère so enchanting—the gentle movement of chiffon caught in the mountain breeze, morning dew glistening on delicate petals, soft light filtering through the gardens, and quiet moments shared between couples as they imagined their own celebration.
Each image reflects Salt Media's signature editorial style, balancing timeless still photography with a sense of movement and emotion. The result is a collection that not only showcases the beauty of the styling and florals but also captures the atmosphere, texture and romance that define a winter wedding at Wynmère Estate.
The experience was brought to life through thoughtful details that delighted every sense. The gentle sound of Spanish guitar, performed by Rob from Elevation Band, drifted through the gardens as guests wandered the estate. His soulful melodies created an atmosphere reminiscent of a Mediterranean villa, adding warmth, romance and an unmistakable sense of occasion.
During cocktail hour, guests were treated to handcrafted cannoli by Antonio from Oh Cannoli. Made using a treasured Sicilian family recipe passed down by his grandmother, each cannolo was filled fresh to order, creating an interactive experience that quickly became one of the highlights of the afternoon. It was a delicious conversation starter and a memorable alternative to traditional cocktail-hour canapés.
Completing the experience was a breathtaking cake by Marina Machado, whose artistry perfectly echoed the day's romantic aesthetic. Featuring an exquisitely handcrafted sugar rose delicately resting atop the cake, the design was a beautiful expression of understated elegance, displayed on a vintage silver stand as both a centrepiece and a work of art. It was a beautiful reminder that the finest wedding details do not need to be dramatic to be impactful.
