Wynmère Estate is proudly dog / pet friendly 🐾

A Celebration the Whole Family Can Enjoy

For many of us, our dogs are more than just pets — they are family. So, when it comes to planning one of the most important days of your life, it feels only natural to want them there to celebrate alongside you.

At Wynmère Estate, we understand that your four-legged family members are an important part of your story. We are proud to offer a dog-friendly setting for couples who would love to include their beloved pets in their wedding day.

Including Your Dog in Your Wedding Ceremony

There is something incredibly special about having your dog by your side as you say, “I do.”

Whether they walk down the aisle as your unofficial ring bearer, wait patiently with a loved one during your ceremony, or simply join you for a few beautiful photographs amongst the gardens, including your dog can make your celebration feel even more personal.

The gardens at Wynmère provide a beautiful backdrop for capturing those moments with your four-legged family member. From the long pebbled aisle to the formal parterre and surrounding garden spaces, there are plenty of opportunities to include them in your wedding photographs.

We believe your wedding should feel like a reflection of you — and for many couples, that includes the animals they love.

Pets are welcome at Wynmère by prior arrangement, allowing couples to incorporate their little loves into the parts of the day that feel most meaningful to them. Some couples choose to include their dog in the ceremony and photographs before having a family member take them home, while others make arrangements for a trusted friend or pet sitter to care for them throughout the afternoon celebration, then back to home or accommodation.

This allows you to enjoy those special moments together while ensuring your dog is comfortable and well cared for.

A Little Pup-planning Goes a Long Way

If you're planning to include your dog in your wedding day, we recommend thinking about who will be responsible for them throughout the celebration. Having a dedicated family member, friend or professional pet sitter means you can relax and enjoy your day, knowing your four-legged friend is being well looked after.

We also recommend bringing plenty of water, treats and a comfortable place for your dog to rest, particularly if they will be spending time with you throughout the day. Dogs must remain on a lead while at the Estate, and we simply ask that their carer cleans up after them.

It is also important to consider whether your dog will be comfortable in a wedding environment. Large gatherings, unfamiliar surroundings and noise can be overwhelming for some dogs. If your pup is nervous, anxious or prone to barking, it may be kinder to consider a smaller role in the day.

For some dogs, a quiet morning with their favourite people, followed by some beautiful photographs together, may be a much happier experience than spending several hours around a large crowd. Ultimately, we want your dog to be safe, comfortable and happy too.

If including your dog in your wedding day is important to you, we'd love to chat about how we can make it part of your Wynmère experience in a way that suits both you and your four-legged family member.
