Spring Weddings
at Wynmère Estate:
Why Couples Love This Season
Undeniably the most popular season at Wynmère, there is something wonderfully fitting about beginning your married life in spring. As Tamborine Mountain awakens from winter, Wynmère Estate comes alive in a spectacular celebration of colour, fragrance and new growth.
Every garden bed and tree bursts into life. The graceful weeping peach trees bloom with cascading blush-pink blossoms, reminiscent of the much-loved Japanese cherry blossom, creating one of the estate's most breathtaking seasonal displays. Throughout the parterre gardens, the roses begin their first magnificent flush of the season, while the avenue of tropical birch unfurls a fresh canopy of vibrant green foliage.
For couples dreaming of a romantic garden wedding, spring is one of the most enchanting times to experience the estate. Every visit offers something new, as the gardens continue to evolve in beauty throughout the season.

Spring is when Wynmère's gardens truly flourish. Starting slowly in September, reaching the peak in October and continuing through November.
The avenue of tropical birch returns to a vibrant canopy of fresh green leaves, while the ornamental weeping peach awakens from its winter dormancy with delicate new foliage. Throughout the estate, the roses begin their magnificent spring flush, filling the gardens with colour and perfume.
The formal parterre gardens, cottage borders and flowering trees continue to evolve throughout the season, ensuring every wedding enjoys a unique backdrop. As bees and butterflies return and birdsong fills the gardens, the estate feels wonderfully alive.
Every week brings something new, making spring one of the most dynamic seasons to visit.

Warm days, cool mountain breezes and longer daylight hours create the perfect setting for garden ceremonies, relaxed cocktail hours and leisurely portraits throughout the estate.
As the afternoon transitions into evening, guests can enjoy the beautiful changing light and comfortable temperatures, making the most of every moment outdoors.
For the most enjoyable experience, we generally recommend holding your ceremony after 3:00 pm. By this time, the peak heat has typically passed—particularly during October and November—allowing both you and your guests to celebrate in greater comfort while also enjoying the soft, golden light that photographers love.

The fresh greens of spring provide a beautiful contrast against the estate's timeless Georgian architecture.
Flowering gardens, soft natural light and clear blue skies combine to create bright, elegant imagery filled with life and colour. Longer daylight hours also allow photographers more time to capture every part of your celebration, from quiet moments before the ceremony to golden-hour portraits and evening festivities.

Absolutely. Thanks to the elevation of Tamborine Mountain, temperatures at Wynmère Estate are typically several degrees cooler than the surrounding Gold Coast and Brisbane areas, making it a comfortable choice for couples wanting to avoid the heat of the lowlands.
For the best guest experience, we generally recommend beginning your ceremony after 3:00 pm, when the warmth of the day has usually eased. This timing also allows you to take advantage of the beautiful afternoon light for your ceremony and photography.
Thoughtful touches such as elegant parasols and hand fans can help keep guests comfortable, while adding a beautiful styling element to your celebration.
